Glad to read!
Thanks for the report, we are heading up tomorrow and I appreciate your post to keep us up-to-date. Thanks again.
Vickie, be really careful. It’s really coming down out there and the roads are looking rough. I will try and post in the morning to give you an update.
Thank you so much for the update. Think we won’t head out as early as planned and we have Steve plowing our driveway. Stay warm…Vickie
Any updates on road conditions? Was thinking of driving up today.
It’s about the same right now, Roy, but the sun is out, so you should be OK later in the day.
Is there a lot of snow up there at the moment? My family wants to head up for the day this weekend, but we want to make sure there is enough snow to play in.
Like I said, there’s a little snow and ice both in the yards and on the roads. I can’t guarantee that you would be able to shove together enough snow to play in. It depends on what kind of playing you want to do. Some places have more snow than others, but fortunately, we did not get a huge amount of snow this time (for those of us who have to live in it every day rather than just coming up to play).
Lot of carnage from Bucks Bar on up on the 19th. Spinouts, crashes, including a head-on between 2 trucks. Felt very fortunate to make it home ok that afternoon…
It was pretty hairball. The high school bus was 2.5 hours late and it took my husband 2.5 hours to get from the VA building on Placerville Drive to our house. I was very grateful when everyone was safely home. For a storm that was here and gone, it definitely shook things up. But hey, power stayed on (for now).
Katrina, Thanks so much for keeping us up-to-date. I really appreciate your web page and the time you put into it! We are heading up for the wkend and know to watch for those icy roads!!
You are very welcome! It’s all clear now (I don’t know about the back roads, though). I think the weather will be lovely for you this weekend! Take care!
